What is a Stye?
A stye is an infection on the eyelid that causes an uncomfortable red bump. A stye can be external (occurring at the base of your eyelashes) or internal (occurring within your eyelid glands). A stye will usually clear up on its own, but the wait can be uncomfortable.
Another type of eyelid bump, called a chalazion, sometimes occurs after a stye has healed. These inflamed areas are often filled with pus and other secretions that clog the glands.

Adolescents tend to have styes more commonly, but people of any age can develop them.
Apply a Warm Compress. Place a warmed Bruder Mask (available in a single or double-eye model) on the eye for 8-10 minutes a few times per day. This can help open up the glands and drain the stye more quickly. It can also ease the pain.
Practice Good Eye Hygiene. It is important to keep the eye area clean. Daily use of Bruder Eyelid Cleansing Wipes and antibacterial Bruder Hygienic Eyelid Solution can help.
